Art Therapy /
Psychotherapy

Viewpoint and Approach

Although reasons for seeking therapy with Daniel vary widely, some familiar motivations include challenges with stress and anxiety, dwelling in sadness and depression, ruminating on adverse childhood experiences, or simply feeling stuck. Your work with Daniel is apt to explore your past, advance awareness of the here-and-now, and establish a bridge to the future. Previous art experience is not needed. In fact, people with little to no art experience thrive in art therapy.

Additionally, mental health professionals and art therapists a like, benefit from arts based interventions woven into the supervisory relationship.

Daniel has provided clinical supervision for managing mental health professionals, art therapists, interns and clinicians in supervisory roles for over 17 years. Daniel received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbus College of Art and Design. Artistically, he contemplatively explores the psychological complexity of the human figure and landscapes by examining such themes as darkness, whimsy, pain, and resiliency to expose strength, vulnerability, and an alternative sensation of beauty. This exploration engages raw emotions, employs body distortions, and dwells on the isolation of the human experience. The work is often completed in a combination of drawing, painting and mixed media. He has exhibited his work in Ohio, New York and Colorado.
